At Puppy La Vie, we truly do our best.

At Puppy La Vie, we truly do our best.

A little honesty from Puppy La Vie…

At Puppy La Vie, we truly do our best.

We love the puppies we help place into new families through our trusted breeder network, and we care deeply about the families we serve. We answer questions, provide guidance, share records, recommend veterinary care, and do everything we can to help set both puppies and families up for success.

But let’s also keep realistic expectations.

We can’t go home with every puppy.

We can’t make sure a puppy isn’t accidentally left in a hot car.

We can’t make sure feedings aren’t skipped.

We can’t make sure veterinary recommendations are followed.

We can’t make sure a puppy doesn’t fall down the stairs, get into something it shouldn’t, or have an accident.

We can’t make sure your puppy continues with training.

We can’t schedule your grooming appointments for the next 15 years.

We can’t make sure your puppy gets enough exercise, socialization, structure, and consistency after they leave our care.

At some point, responsible pet ownership becomes a shared responsibility.

The truth is that puppies require time, patience, financial commitment, training, veterinary care, grooming, and love. Bringing home a puppy is not a one-day decision it’s a years-long commitment.

And while Puppy La Vie can help families find the right puppy and provide support along the way, we cannot raise the puppy for you.

I also think it’s important to acknowledge that times are different right now.

People are struggling.

Families are under stress.

And sadly, we’ve seen more surrendered and rehomed pets than ever before.

That is heartbreaking for everyone involved.

But the answer isn’t to shame responsible families who want to bring a puppy into their home. The answer isn’t to attack breeders, or other pet professionals who are trying to help match families with pets.

The answer is education.

The answer is encouraging responsible pet ownership.

The answer is helping people understand the commitment before they bring a puppy home.

Personally, I believe we need stronger conversations around responsible pet ownership and accountability for everyone involved. Because every puppy deserves a family that is prepared for the responsibility, not just the excitement.

That being said…

Today, I want to focus on gratitude.

To the incredible Puppy La Vie families we have worked with over the years—thank you.

Thank you for trusting us.

Thank you for loving your puppies.

Thank you for the birthday photos, holiday pictures, funny videos, updates, and messages.

Thank you for letting us watch these puppies grow into beloved family members.

We have been incredibly fortunate to work with some truly phenomenal families, and seeing our puppies thrive in loving homes is the reason we do what we do.

The vast majority of our families are wonderful people who love their dogs like family, and we are grateful for every one of you.

At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: happy, healthy, loved puppies.

And that’s something worth working together for.
❤️🐾
